JR Merit welcomes and promotes several team members
The JR Merit team expanded with two new team members and two promotions. We hired Project Accountant Vannessa Saephan and Administrative Assistant Ally Matyunin, and promoted Trish Peters to Accounts Payable Specialist and Dakota Cail to Project Engineer II!
Vannessa comes to JR Merit with previous experience in construction industry accounting as an accounting assistant. She is also attending Warner Pacific University pursuing her accounting degree. Vannessa started her accounting career at the beginning of the pandemic, when project holds and work from home were creating uncertainty for all of us. We’re glad to welcome her into our office environment where we work together, safely, every day! Vanessa brings a positive attitude and optimistic perspective to supporting our team—she is always looking for ways to improve and makes things better. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and playing volleyball and basketball—she’s played basketball since she was eight!
Ally Matyunin is our new Administrative Assistant. With an educational background in early childhood education, Ally brings a fresh perspective to administrative work. She is driven, dependable, compassionate and organized—an excellent combination to support our teams! Ally’s hobbies include hiking, off roading, shooting, and cooking.
Trish joined JR Merit in summer 2021 as an administrative assistant and we quickly realized she brought a wealth of knowledge and skills to our firm. Trish was promoted to Accounts Payable Specialist. She has more than 20 years’ experience supporting operations in a variety of industries, including education, communication, and construction. Her positive attitude, ability to tackle any challenges, and excitement in trying new things makes Trish an integral member of the JR Merit team. In her free time, Trish enjoys quilting, making bags, playing tennis pickleball, and working in her yard.
Dakota Cail has been promoted to Project Engineer II. Dakota joined JR Merit in January 2020 after graduating from Oregon State in Civil Engineering. He brought an immediate positive impact in operations focusing on our food and beverage market. Dakota has a natural ability to listen to customer’s needs and provide timely solutions in the fast-paced environments in which we work. We congratulate him on his achievements and look forward to many more promotions for Dakota.
