As we revel in the longest days of summer, we’ve been
enjoying the fruits of Spring renewal and growth in our team! We welcomed five new
hires in the last few months—Fabrication Facility Project Manager Andy Plymate and
Accounts Payable Specialist Kency Padill in April, and Human Resources Leader Alma
Serrano, Accounts Receivable Specialist April Hazen, and Project Engineer James
Riebe in June!
Kency Padilla, Accounts Payable Specialist: Kency brings valuable experience in the construction industry and describes herself and proactive, hard-working, motivated, and reliable. She’s a huge support to our team and is expanding her experience in industrial construction. Outside of work, Kency enjoys playing golf and tennis, cooking, traveling, and seeking adventure.
Andy Plymate, Fabrication Facility Project Manager: Andy joins the team as a seasoned professional with 10 years’ experience in mechanical contracting, piping fabrication, and materials logistics. Self-described as outgoing, motivated, and tenacious, he’s a great asset to our growing prefabrication team. Outside of work, Andy is an avid backpacker, loves to play board games, and is a longsworder fencer and fencing instructor!
Alma Serrano, Human Resource Leader: Alma has a track record of successfully navigating the balance between employee advocacy and organizational interest, and is dedicated to achieving a great employee experience. Self-described as adaptable, optimistic, and resourceful, she is already creating a positive impact! Beyond work, Alma enjoys watching NFL football, hiking, and spending quality time with her family, including Friday Family Movie nights. Fun fact: She is the sixth of eight children, making family get-togethers a lively affair!
April Hazen, Accounts Receivable Specialist: April majored in medical assisting and accounting and has a passion for trying new things. Self-described as being focused, a team player, and having a positive attitude, April is a great asset to our team! Outside of work, April enjoys baking and decorating wedding desserts as well as outdoor activities such as camping, fishing, and beach visits.
James Riebe, Project Engineer: James interned with us last summer and we are proud to announce he’s come back and joined the team full time! James earned his degree in Operations and Supply Chain Management from the University of Idaho and brings experience in bidding jobs, assembling crews, and managing equipment for industrial dismantling projects, as well as directing upgrade projects in the cattle feeding sector. Known for his enthusiasm in problem-solving and ability to thrive under pressure, James is excited to contribute his skills and gain further expertise at JR Merit. Beyond work, he has a passion for Timbersports competitions and actively trains and competes!
We’ve also have three interns joining us for the Summer: Cooper Morin, James Bacon, and Anders Haugan!
