An inspection of the tainter gates revealed moderate to severe corrosion loss at the bottom of the gates with some areas recoated or retrofitted to support capacity and isolated areas of failure in the coating system. Based on this inspection, Idaho Power sought repairs. We demolished and retrofitted new structural steel and seals, including partial gate demo, scaffolding, crane, and work on the spillway, to improve equipment conditions.
