Refurbishing the 100-year-old generators at this power plant revealed significant leakage in the intake gates, which impeded our ability to complete the generator project. We led a design-build process to retrofit the intake gates as well as the hoist system above, for which no documentation existed. The new system reduced leakage by 95 percent and enabled us to successfully complete the generator refurbishment.
