OUR AREAS OF EXPERTISE
JR Merit, a diverse industrial general contractor, takes pride in the many industries we serve and our wide range of capabilities that can address many industrial challenges. Some of the industries we have served over the years include: Power Generation, Food and Beverage Processing, Industrial and High-tech Manufacturing, Transportation and Railroad Systems, Public Agencies, Health Care Facilities, Water Treatment Plants, Pulp & Paper, Chemical and Plastics Processing and many more.
Our project teams provide an in-depth variety of preconstruction services depending on the type of project and the goals and requirements of our clients. Project management, planning for safety and efficiency, organizing an effective team, controlling costs, and maintaining the owner’s schedule, and documentation close-out are key elements of a fixed-price project. Negotiated and design-build (EPC) contracts include additional services JR Merit can provide. Our estimating team, project managers, supervisors, and engineers work closely together with outside designers and our clients to ensure that budgets are synchronized with designs. We can evaluate cost, schedules, or operational implications of various construction elements and design choices.
Pricing is accomplished using experienced professionals and our in-house databases of production rates and material costs. Although JR Merit self-performs much of the work on our projects, we also solicit subcontractor involvement for support trades such as electrical power and integrated control networks as project specifications require. Our subcontractors are carefully screened to ensure that they can deliver the same high level of service that JR Merit demands on our projects.
JR Merit has the experience and is well prepared to deliver your project with timely estimates of construction costs, the required schedules, and safe accomplishment of the work. Our commitment to our customers is to provide value and teamwork to complete your project safely, on time, and within budget
